Designed after Gothic “rib vaults”, which helped distribute the weight of immensely high cathedral ceilings onto supporting columns below.
TRACERY Pattern
Modeled after “window tracery”, carved stonework elements of Gothic cathedral windows that were used to support the glass
JAMB Pattern
Derived from figures known as “jamb statues” which can often be found on the columns flanking the entrance to Gothic cathedrals
